Ingredients

To make six hibiscus mocktails you will need:

  • 6 tablespoons of “Pantoum” (Poetic Tea’s hibiscus peppermint herbal blend)

  • 3 c. boiling water

  • 3 c. chilled sparkling apple cider (a normal-size 25 oz bottle is perfect)

  • 1 orange

  • Ice

The Process

Here’s the scoop:

Brew your tea

  • Pour three cups of boiling water over six tablespoons of “Pantoum” (Poetic Tea’s hibiscus peppermint herbal blend) — this makes for a very strong, deep burgundy infusion;

  • Steep for at least five minutes and refrigerate for at least an hour;

Assemble your mocktail

  • Slice orange into six circles and add a half-slit to each slice;

  • Once tea has had a chance to chill, remove from refrigerator and add six-to-eight ice cubes to six stemmed glasses (wine or champagne glasses work great);

  • Pour half a cup (4 ounces) of chilled sparkling cider into each glass;

  • Strain tea and top each glass with half a cup of your chilled herbal infusion;

  • Garnish each glass with an orange slice and optional mint leaves if you’re getting fancy;

  • Serve immediately.
